Drum Set
A musical career has to start somewhere, and for me the drum set was my entry into the world of musicians. So I spent a lot of time on the drum set while studying classical percussion.
Today I have my own band, with which I have played concerts in 11 countries, play with ensembles and groups of all kinds, from serious to light music, and I run my own small drum-studio in Frankfurt a/M.
Of course, I also give drumming lessons, especially in the styles of Rock/Metal, POP, Hip-Hop, Big Band drumming and World music.
Percussion
The incredible sound spectrum of percussion paired with the large dynamic range of the percussion instruments fascinates again and again. Their effect on the audience is particularly evident in compositions of contemporary music.
With sensitivity and musicality, I play passionately in various ensembles (including the Frankfurt Chamber Opera, conTempo Ensemble, Frankfurt Young Symphony Orchestra) and also as a soloist with conductors such as Claus Kühnl, Olaf Katzer, Stanislav Rosenberg and Thomas Hanelt.
Of the thousands of percussion instruments, the timpani are my favorite. Their powerful sensitivity speaks to our innermost being and enriches every ensemble.
Studio
Whether it's Xylophone for a short film or a drum track for POP musicians, in my small drum studio in Frankfurt Eastend I record drum tracks for composers and musicians.
I only use top quality instruments from manufacturers such as Tama, Zildjian and Adams and only use high quality microphones from manufacturers such as Shure, RØDE and Audix.
